Scalable and modular hydrokinetic power generation solutions
The Power of Nature
Hydrokinetic power generation is the process of capturing energy from the natural flow of water—such as rivers, tides, or manmade channels—without the need for dams or large infrastructure. It harnesses the kinetic energy of moving water to produce electricity in a renewable and environmentally low-impact way. The consistency/predictability of hydrokinetic resources opens opportunities to use it as a base load energy source.
This makes it possible to offer a solution that can support an array of uses including internet connection for telecommunications, remote health care and distance learning, refrigeration for food and medicine, and much more. New Energy’s systems are configured with this array of uses in mind.
Introducing: EnviroGen
1| Scalable
5 & 25kW vertical-axis turbines sized to optimize power generation in a wide-range of hydrokinetic resources from industrial cooling water systems to the largest tidal sites in the world.
EVG-005
-
Power Output: 5kW at 3m/s
Maximum Flow Velocity: 3.5m/s
Minumum Flow Velocity: 1.5 m/s
Minimum Operating Depths: 1.25m (fixed) and 1.4m (floating)
EVG-025
-
Power Output: 25kW at 3m/s
Maximum Flow Velocity: 3.5m/s
Minumum Flow Velocity: 1.5 m/s
Minimum Operating Depths: 3m (fixed) and 3.4m (floating)
2| Adaptable
Fixed Mount
The versatility of the vertical axis, cross-flow turbine allows it to be secured to solid support structures such as bridge piers, canal walls, or existing floating structures. When fixed in place, the turbine is able to easily rotate in and out of the water.
Floating Mount
With the turbine simply suspended between pontoons, the floating mount allows for power generation to happen away from any man-made support structures and in very remote locations. It is also transportable and deployable by trailer.
3| Modular
Vertical-axis turbines allow them to be situated in close proximity, both laterally and in succession, in order to meet local energy demand or maximize site power potential.
