Clayton Bear
President, CTO

Clayton is a professional engineer and entrepreneur with over 30 years' experience in the development and application of leading-edge technologies. He spent over 10 years developing and implementing new technologies for pipelines and gas compression equipment before co-founding a successful company that commercialized advanced bearing and seal technologies which was eventually sold to a large multi-national corporation. He founded New Energy in 2003 and is an active contributor and source to various industry committees, conferences and organizations which includes sitting as a past board member of Marine Renewables Canada. His leadership places the Company at the forefront of marine renewable energy in Canada and internationally.
Brian De Clare

Brian has nearly 35 years' experience in the natural resource industry, working with some of the most respected investment banks in the City of London. He's done strategic advisory work for international Blue-Chip oil & gas producers, mining houses, large industrial consumers, pension funds and governments. Brian was short listed for the Euromoney "World's top 40 under 40 most likely to succeed in Investment Banking." He was an advisor to the Clinton administration on energy issues. A regular guest on CNN, CNBC, BBC and SKY television, Brian is also widely quoted in the commodities press.
Charles Dobson

Charles brings over 35 years of military, and commercial experience in project management, sales, and business development. Charles retired from the British Army in December 2006 after a successful 18-year career having reached the rank of Major. Commissioned into the Worcestershire and Sherwood Foresters Regiment in May 1989, he served as an Infantry Commander and staff officer in the UK and overseas including operational tours in Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Charles was awarded the US Bronze Star Medal, while serving with the US 10th Mountain Division in 2006.
Charles joined ATCO Structures in December 2006, working in the Modular Housing Industry in increasingly senior roles for 18 years, providing Workforce Housing Solutions for large infrastructure projects, in the capacity as project manager, proposal manager and led the business services group that comprised of HSE, QA/QC, proposals, ATCO Hunter JV, and Indigenous business development. He was President of the ATCO/Hunter Blast Resistant Buildings Joint Venture for 5 years, responsible for profit and loss and growing the business. His most recent role was with Canadian Utilities (ATCO Group), where he was responsible for leading the Indigenous Business Development team, by developing meaningful First Nation relationships into successful commercial partnerships in support of both ATCO Structures and ATCO Frontec.
Charles was educated at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, and has a Masters Degree in Defence Studies from Cranfield University.
Mike Muller

Mr. Muller brings a wealth of international business knowledge through his experience in commodities trading, most recently as the CEO of Vitol Asia Pte Ltd.
Prior to Vitol, he headed Shell’s Global Trading Leadership team (since 1999) where he held several influential roles including Vice President, Global Crude Oil Trading and Supply. Mr. Muller is also a Director for Enterprise Singapore.
Pat Moore

Pat has operated his CPA firm specializing in consulting, tax and assurance services for independent businesses for over 30 years. Prior to establishing his own firm, Pat spent four years with KPMG in Vancouver earning a CPA designation following a B.A. (Econ/Comm) from SFU in Vancouver. Past consulting engagements include financings, transfers and reorganizations, including public company IPO financing.
Since 2009, Pat’s consultancy practice has focused primarily on renewable energy projects, specifically coordinating funding and permitting negotiations at the Federal and Provincial Ministerial levels, project liaison for Transport, Environmental and Fisheries review and approval, project model development and planning, and project equity and related corporate financings.
In addition, Pat has served as President of CPA Yukon, the Rotary Club of Ladysmith, and presently the Chemainus Theatre.
